Wells Annual Gourmet Ski Tour

The Wells Gourmet Ski Tour and Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival are taking place on Saturday, February 18, 2012.

The Wells Snowman is a noncompetitive gourmet cross-country ski tour.  Various routes can be taken through the lovely Moose Island Meadow and along the gently rolling hills of Cornish Mountain to enjoy international cuisine served at various “pit stops” along the way.

This year, in a continuing attempt to ‘green’ this event, we encourage to bring your own utensils.  Each of our food stations use the fewest possible disposable items and those that are disposable are also compostable! In order to keep the event new and interesting there are a few new countries this year with surprise new items.

Where: Start at the Bears Paw Café on Highway 26 in Wells
When: Saturday, February 18, 2011   Time: 12 noon start; registration opens at 11 am.
Difficulty: Easy 6.5 KM or slightly more technical & adventurous 8+ k. Longer routes also possible.
Apres: Bon Fire, Dessert & Hot Chocolate Social to follow at the Bears Paw Café; 7pm at the Wells Community Hall enjoy films from the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival ($12 – tickets available at registration or at the door)
Prizes: Best Poker Hand; Best Dressed (costuming is encouraged) & More
Cost: $45 for adults (12 and over)
$20 for children (7 – 11)
Children 6 and under free

There are 100 tickets available.  This is usually a sell-out event. Registration is on a First Come/First Served basis.

Cancellation/Refund policy: Cancellations received on or before two weeks prior to event day will receive a full refund less a 15% handling fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellations less than two weeks before the event date.
